PET AMBULANCE SERVICES To the rescue.

On 04-07-2012 International K9 Search and Rescue Services received a frantic call at 0715hrs. from Daniel Valenzuela. Dan is a retired Army veteran who has served his country and is now disabled and blind. He's living on a fixed income.and the love of his life Rocky was laying nearby and wouldn't/couldn't move. No one one help this poor 71 year old veteran or his 12 year old dog named Rocky. So, we immediately responded all the way from LONGVIEW, Wa. and found Rocky had suffered a severe stroke and couldn't move.

With the help of one of my dog team members, we loaded Rocky onto a stretcher, wrapped his 100 lbs frame into a warm blanket and trasnported him to Campanion Pet Clinic on Allen Blvd. There once he arrived Rocky was diagnosed with a severe stroke and with Daniel holding him tightly in his arms crying for losing his buddy, Rocky had to be put to sleep.

My heart and our prayers go out to Rocky, his partner Daniel.

From the Canadian Border - South, we provide the peace of mind for your pet that would be expected from any human emergency ambulance service. Providing services such as emergency transports, inter-vet hospital transports, home to Clinic transports, and body recoveries and removals. The experience and knowledge that our specially trained team members bring to every call is the key factor in the success and safe treatment of your pet.

Our director Mr. Harry Oakes, is a former Emergency Medical Technician 2 Airway and IV tech. He brings forward 39 years of Search and Rescue experience as well as 25 years of K9 SAR and animal rescue experience. We are trained in animal First Aid and CPR for our emergency transport services. Our staff brings emergency care experience to your home to deal with any situation that can arise.

Our specialized transport vehicles are fully stocked to deal with animal emergencies. We provide oxygen, suction, airway support, and IV treatment for your pet as needed. We can’t start an IV, but can maintain IV fluids as requested. Our ambulance transport vehicle is equipped with specialized crates and or rigid boards in order to safely transport your pet from one point to another safely, securely, and quickly.

We cover such a vast large area everyday that it’s first called first served. No domesticated pet animal or emergency is too big or small for S.M.A.A.R.T.T. to help with. Our goal is your satisfaction here at S.M.A.A.R.T.T., where we treat your pets like family.

S.M.A.A.R.T.T. is a 24-hour Specialized Mobile Animal Ambulance Response Transport Team that operates 24-hours a day as a private pet ambulance service for Pet Owners and vet clinics. We are based out of Longview, Washington. Our service is not affiliated with any Veterinary Practices, and your Pet will always be taken to the Vet or Animal Hospital of your choice.

The idea for S.M.A.A.R.T.T. first started in 1986 through International K9 Search and Rescue Services. Transporting sick, injured pets during snow and ice storms and during times of disasters. Earthquakes, floods, fires, tornados, etc. Since most rural counties do not have a vet that provides 24-hour care, pets need to be transferred regularly to a 24-hour animal hospital for care. Some families have a busy schedule and it’s difficult for them to provide safe and comfortable medical transport for their animals. After considerable research and consultation with local Vets, Harry established S.M.A.A.R.T.T.

In order to provide a comprehensive service, Harry has over the last 25 years has provided 24 hours/7 day a week service. Our four-wheel drive vehicle is fitted with all the necessary equipment to ensure that every Pet had the best possible care. The pet ambulance is fitted with medical oxygen, first aid supplies, fully air conditioned, fluid therapy capability, and safety restraints to make your pet’s ride as stress-free as possible.

The S.M.A.A.R.T.T. Animal transport ambulance is a service for Pet Owners and Vets, to ensure that our best friends get the best possible care and attention. We can also transport deceased animals to the pet owners choice of facilities.
